Saving the invoice to PDF can be done by using something called PDF Print Driver. This is also known as printing to PDF because the output from the browser is sent to a file instead to a printer.

This functionality is built-in in some browsers (like Google Chrome), while in others (like Firefox or Internet Explorer) you have to install PDF printer manually.
Here I will show you how to do it with Google Chrome, but if you are using another browser you can install free PDF printer like Bullzip and use it the same way.

To save the invoice to PDF, all you need to do is click "Print Invoice", set the destination printer to "Save as PDF" and click Save.

Hello, it would be much simpler to add a download button (the html page is converted to pdf and it is download on the computer of the user)

Hi Youssef,

Adding that functionality would require server-side functionality, which will break our paradigm for platform independence. Also, that would require installing additional software and we don't want to force our users to that.

You can check out http://invoicevan.com/ if you'd like direct PDF download and sending by email functionality.

Best,
Dimitar
