On Friday, August 15th, OCA-Greater Houston (www.ocahouston.org) will be hosting B3 Asian American Leadership Forum, a professional development and networking conference in Houston for working professionals and undergraduate and graduate students. There will be a special career advancement track for mid-career professionals.
We would like to invite you and your colleagues and peers to register for and attend the conference (from 8:00AM to 3:30PM). Please share the event and registration details with your colleagues and peers. The conference will include the following:
· Community Leadership Panel featuring Distinguished Community Leaders, Donna Cole, Gordon Quan, and Daniel Wong (with Breakfast)
· Keynote Speaker: Susan Jin-Davis, Senior Vice President at Comcast (with Lunch)
· Industry-specific Break-out Sessions, which will include senior and executive-level professionals
o Business (from IBM, Deloitte, Shell)
o Engineering (from Bechtel, Exxon, and Technip)
o Entrepreneurship (from Cole Chemical, FosterQuan, and Saja Energy)
o Law (from Chevron, Givens & Johnston, Greenberg & Traurig, and Texas State Legislature)
o Medicine (including dentistry, surgery, and urology)
o Advancement Track for Mid-Career Professionals (from AIG, Tolunay-Wong, and Comcast – keynote speaker)
o Non-traditional (including school administration, fine arts museum curation, and filmmaking)
· Networking and relationship-building with driven and enthusiastic local young, mid-career, and senior professionals and undergraduate & graduate students in the community
· Public speaking workshop on how to present and speak effectively
· 1 on 1 career coaching sessions

OCA is hosting its annual B3 Asian American Leadership Forum which includes workshops as well as industry panels to learn how to develop skills needed to break the bamboo ceiling. The luncheon keynote will be by Susan Jin Davis, Comcast VP. Complimentary coaching sessions will also be available throughout the day with professional career coaches from ICF.
