Basic computer scanner needed.
The light-emitting tube on my aged Visioneer 4400 USB scanner has faded to a
dull brown and I can no longer make legible copies. I only scan text
documents/mail occasionally, so if anyone has upgraded to a combo
printer/scanner, I would sure appreciate your old still-working scanner.
I just bought a B&W laser printer two months ago rather than a combo because
my scanner was still working so well.... Grrrr!
Alternately, If anyone can suggest how to fix my old scanner... though after
12 years I doubt that any parts are still available.
