Since last weekends storms, I haven't seen any signal on any of the
channel 54 or 48 OTA broadcasts. Is it just me, or did they get hit by
lightning?

I tried to locate any status info on the 48 web site, but no luck.

They both work for me.

54's broadcast comes off the same tower as 31 (stacked antenna), so it
would seem unlikely that lightning to the tower would affect one and not
the other. 48's tower is almost 2 miles away.

One possibility is that both 54 and 48 use a common fiber optic provider
to get their signals from their offices (on opposite sides of North
Parkway just south of Oakwood) and that there was a fiber cut in that
area (and maybe it has been repaired, which would be why they are
working now for me).

In article <pOKdndgTLsPRo_TI...@posted.hiwaay2>,
They're still not working for me with this converter (a Zenith);
I checked the other house (which has a new RCA) and and I have signal
from both stations. I had the RCA here initially, but had a lot of
dropouts.

Of course, it could be the antenna cable that fell off the bowtie array.
With that re-connected, it's working much better. Strange that it was
only affecting those two stations.

Time to get busy with upgrading the cabling.

Thanks,

Gary
