". . .
Haji Ahmad Zaki Zahed, head of the Parwan provincial council, said 17
copies of the Qur'an were rescued after they had been set alight but
before the flames fully took hold.

"I talked with five representatives of the workers who showed me the
pieces of the holy book, which I saw for myself were partly burned,"
he said.

When US pastor Terry Jones burned a copy of the Qur'an last year it
triggered deadly protests across Afghanistan.

Nine people were killed and more than 80 injured in a riot in southern
Kandahar city, and in normally peaceful northern Mazar-e-Sharif, an
angry crowd overran a United Nations compound and killed seven foreign
employees, slitting the throat of one.

Barbarians! We need a Youtube video of the Qur'an, and a Bible to show
no favoritism, used as toilet paper. Let's throw in an image of Mohammad
while we're at it. They must learn to get over themselves.

We've overstayed our welcome and with bin Laden dead, time to leave.
Near as I can tell, Obama has just about run out of targets.

There was a civil war in October 2001 when we sent our special forces
to help Karzai's group defeat the Taliiban's Omar. The civil war never
ended as much as Karzai's team today has 90,000 USA military and a
nearly equal number of 'private' security, hired guns.

Funnily enough, Omar and Santorum share similar attitudes about the
role of religion in government. Even the critics of Obama who claim he
is a Muslim share the same attitude about religion and government.
They're just pissed at the brand.

It's not for lack of trying, since he's not concerned about civilian
casualties. More than _60_ children?

This alone is reason to get Obama out of office.

I'm not voting for any incumbent. Throw all the bums out.

Yea, Obama hasn't come even lose to G. W. Bush's record. But there is
more, good news:

"Vicki Chura, 54, of Fairfield, Ohio, said her daughter calls home
constantly from Bagram Air Base, where she serves with the 82nd
Airborne Division, and is confused about why she is still there. She
asked Romney what he would do to speed the withdrawal of U.S. troops.

"Her first deployment, she never once said 'I want to come home,'"
Chura said of her daughter, who has been in the Army for more than
three years. "This deployment has been extremely hard, not only for
her, but for my husband and I. Every email, every time we Skype, we
hear 'I want to come home now'. There is no mission here. We have no
definition of a mission."

Romney jumped on Chura's complaint and attacked Obama on the war. "If
your daughter is not familiar with the mission that she's on, how in
the world can the commander in chief sleep at night, knowing that we
have soldiers in harm's way that don't know exactly, precisely, what
it is that they're doing there?" he asked."

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-57390114-503544/romney-to-mother-of-army-daughter-how-can-obama-sleep-at-night/

The reason is Romney has touched the 'tar-baby.' The obvious question
is "What is Romney's mission statement for Afghanistan?"

Hopefully the Republican noise-machine will pickup Romney's answer and
Obama will have no choice but to ask the Republican House and Senate
to provide their definition of the Afghanistan mission . . . a mission
statement. <GRINS>

Yeap, the war may be over sooner than later and New York will get that
victory parade . . . say October. <GRINS>

"Afghans 'out of patience' after Kandahar massacre"

"Afghans "have run out of patience" with foreign troops, the country's
MPs have warned, after a US soldier killed 16 Afghan civilians.

The strongly worded resolution came as US officials issued an alert,
fearing reprisals after the Kandahar rampage. Nine children were among
those killed.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai said the act was "unforgivable". Taliban
militants have vowed revenge.

The soldier is being questioned, and Nato has promised to deliver
justice.

The killings could further fuel calls for a more rapid withdrawal of
US troops from Afghanistan.

Anti-US sentiment is already high after soldiers burned some copies of
the Koran at a Nato base in Kabul last month.

US officials have repeatedly apologised for the Koran incident, which
sparked a series of protests and attacks that killed at least 30
people and six US troops."

YEA!!!!

Barack Obama killed Ossama bin Laden and that pretty much ended our
justification for being in Afghanistan. The terrorists have moved out
of Afghanistan and it is time to the those folks find their own path
to the future.

Time to leave!
