Where's the best place in Huntsville to buy "home-made" (hah!) apple
pies? I'm on duty for dessert for the family dinner and don't have
time to make from scratch.

Thanks!

I'd go with Gibsons' BBQ on South Parkway (at the Useless Overpass) as
a first choice, and Blue Plate Cafe would be second, but they don't
list apple pie on their menu. I've had their lemon pie, and it's excellent.

Call at least a day before you need it.

Try the Fresh Market at the corner of Airport and Whitesburg. They
have several different styles but I got the caramel apple pie for my
last holiday and it was a big hit.

There's Piccadilly too (Parkway Mall). But I've encountered a lot of
quality variation there. Wonder about Peggy Ann bakery too.

I know Peggy Ann had pumpkin pies last Friday, when I was doing my weekly
pickup for work. I'm sure they can produce a fine apple pie with a days'
notice.

I second the Gibson's BBQ recommendation. Can't speak for their Apple
Pie, but their Coconut Cream is awesome!
