Best new place in town (Madison)

I was headed home on Wall Triana and was diverted through downtown Madison
because of road construction. Traffic was at a stand still so my daughter
and I
decided to wait it out in a new pet store called Animal Trax. What a
wonderful surprise!! The man who owns the store is a former 5th grade
teacher in the Decatur school district. He said he started collecting exotic
pets and soon had more pets than students. He decided to open an exotic pet
store and it is WONDERFUL!! He has rodents and reptiles and arachnids.
The most unusual and amazing critters I have ever seen. He allowed my
daughter to
feed the turtles and a bearded dragon lizard ? named Charlie- who I just
fell
in love with and <I HATE LIZARDS>. It is easy to recognize the owner is a
great teacher because he spent lots and lots of time with June explaining
habitats. We both were captivated by the tree frogs. They were like
nothing I'd ever seen outside the pages of National Geographic. He also has
unusual art pieces and a super friendly staff.
I have zero stake in this business. I don't even know the guys name but I
was so impressed with his operation and genuine love for what he's doing
that I really want to see his business succeed. Please stop by for a visit
even if you are not in the market for a new pet. He has all kinds of things
you might find interesting. He had been at a high school all day today
presenting his creatures. I don't know if that is something he does for a
fee but he would be such a great speaker for a classroom or Boy Scout troop.
