Or did my scanner forget how to trunk? Anyone using a Pro 95 out
there? I can pick up everything but the trunked Huntsville bands.

Heh, sneaky of them. The Control channels were changed and rearranged.
Control channel freqs are now:

1) 854.1625
2) 851.2625
3) 859.7125
4) 856.2375

Note that the last two freqs were formerly the first two on the
control channel list.
The two new ones were not previously in the HSV trunked radio system
freqs list.

I just want to thank me for taking the time to sort this out for me.

Thank you Joe for bringing this to my attention.

I hadn't turned on my BC245XLT in some time. Someone at
http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=279
listed the new control channels at the end of August. I also found several
new trunking
frequencies I did not have in my scanner.

Next I will have to bring up my Scancat software and check the talk groups.

Thanks,

Bob

Divng into this deeper, I have discovered that a nationwide "re-banding" was
mandated by the FCC several years ago to solve interference problems between
public safety and commerical radio systems such as Nextel. I found the
table below of old and new frequencies. Depending on which channels
Huntsville is using, many if not most scanners can not follow all of the
channels of the trunking system. Some newer scanners can be re-programmed.
