God, how convenient for the government if McWilliams simply dies in
their custody. All the rest of this just seems like the government DEA
boys being their usual heavy-handed selves, but this last thing seems to
be a deliberate act and a particularly monstrous one.
Apart from how one feels about the larger issues here, I don't see how
anyone could feel pride in a government that can behave like this. I am
ashamed.

So, caesure, what's the medical reason you smoke pot?

Just further proof that we need more government. The government wants
nothing more than to take care of us, and I for one am *grateful* that
they're out there protecting me from authors who smoke marijuana for medical
purposes.

Governments behave like governments. Power corrupts, absolute power
corrupts absolutely. The more power the gummint has, the more corrupt it
becomes.
But remember, it's For Our Own Good. They're protecting us, and I for one am
*grateful*.

Please answer the question.
In one of the debates about medical marijuana use in California, one high
profile lawyer had a legal prescription to obtain medical marijuana to
relieve the stress of his job.
Chris Palmer
Because I already know the answer, and I knew you'd
be a weasel and avoid answering a question that would
show that your real interest is not in legalizing
marijuana for medicine (which, btw, I don't oppose) but
in legalizing it for recreational use 'cause you like
to get stoned. That puts people like Peter McWilliams
in a different class than you.
Just consider this my one trick response to your
one trick post.

Oh, I agree that you didn't claim it, but by the
same token, neither did you seem eager to answer
my question.

Sure you are. However, I'm not stoned so it's evident
to me that your medicinal interest is ancillary
to your recreational interest. It's not like you've
made other posts touting the medicinal value of hypericum,
heroin, or half a dozen other non-approved medicines I
can think of off the top of my head that have medicinal
value. No, your interest in non-medicinal, and that
makes your post...well...how should I put this...
disingenuous.

I am right. Your primary motive is to be able to get
stoned without fear of the law. You wouldn't be
carrying out this campaign if your only goal was to
see marijuana legalized for medical research.

Some compromise--from unregulated to decriminalized. The
fact remains you want to be able to smoke your pot
with impunity. The medical research angle is just a means
to an end.

I guess the fact that you post so many pro-legalization of
marijuana posts has made it seem as if that's all you post.
But then again, that is where your heart lies, and I'm
at a loss as to why you don't just admit it.

I wonder if you use capital letters in all those letters you've
written to your representatives. You have written your representives,
haven't you? Did you use your real name?
