Key Responsibilities
- Design, Implement, and Maintain Automation Solutions Developing and managing automation solutions using Ansible for configuration management, application deployment, and system orchestration, often enhanced by Python scripting for complex logic or integrations.
- Collaboration and Requirements Gathering Working with cross-functional teams (e.g., development, operations, network engineering) to understand automation requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
- Ansible Playbook and Role Development Creating and maintaining Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules for various automation tasks.
- Scripting and Optimization Writing and optimizing Python scripts to extend Ansibles capabilities, handle specific use cases, or integrate with other systems.
- CICD Integration Integrating automation solutions into Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipelines to streamline software delivery.
- Troubleshooting and Support Identifying and resolving issues within automation scripts and workflows, providing ongoing support for automated systems.
- Security and Best Practices Ensuring that automation solutions adhere to security best practices and organizational standards.
- Documentation Creating and maintaining clear and comprehensive documentation for automation workflows, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Key Qualifications
- Proficiency in Python Strong programming skills in Python, including experience with relevant libraries and frameworks.
- Expertise in Ansible In-depth knowledge of Ansible, including playbook development, role creation, inventory management, and module usage.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Principles Understanding of IaC concepts and experience in applying them to infrastructure automation.
- Version Control Systems Experience with Git or other version control systems for managing code and configurations.
- LinuxUnix Systems Strong familiarity with LinuxUnix operating systems and shell scripting. CICD Concepts Knowledge of CICD principles and experience in integrating automation into such pipelines.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills Ability to analyze complex problems and design effective automation solutions.
- Communication Skills Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams.
