Langar stall in HSR Layout --- in one of coming weekends

Sangat jee, Maneet veerjee has been requesting to have a Langar stall in HSR layout, like done before.

what do you all think?

This is for upcoming Gurpurab. We can have Bread/Choley and have a Langar stall for 2-3 hours. Maneet veerjee has the idea to get the Choley Parshad made from Punjabi Rasoi.

Can we meet one of these days and plan for it?

Yesterday I checked with Punjabi Rasoi on the same and he doesn't have time to prepare Chole. He was apologizing on the same but cannot do much. 

This is due to his own wedding by end of this month.

Based on the telephonic discussion, we need to give the ingredients to veerji from Punjabi Rasoi and he will get it ready at the desired time for us. However, he would need quantity which we need to prepare and based on that he would provide us the list of ingredients.

@ Deep Veerji: Could you provide any idea on the quantity of Chole prepared last time. Based on which we can decide the quantity for this time.

Lets plan for next steps of Tent and any other things which we may need.

Date :- 12th Sunday as we need Saturday for preparation.

Prasad :- Chole (100 kg approx) with Bread , No tea as it requires Gas stove + cylinder ( not feasible as of now)

We can not plan for 18th & 19th Jan as Punjabi rasoi won't agree to prepare chole as he is busy so if  we all agree we have to do this Sunday ONLY.

Request all to pls. share their views and we have to finalize everything by today EOD.

PFB the updated cost estimate for celebration of Gurpurab on 12th January:

This cost estimate is based on the ingredients provided by Bhavya paaji from Punjabi Rasoi to me and Maneet Paaji.

Also, important point is that we need to provide him a Gas Cylinder, else he will charge Rs.2500 from us. Therefore, if somebody has 2 cylinders and can volunteer to give 1, we can save that cost. Kindly let us know if somebody can give.

Lets plan to meet tomorrow at 7PM as we would need to collect money to procure these items and give to Punjabi Rasoi. It looks like total cost would be somewhere between 21-24 thousand.

Also, if somebody has an extra cylinder, please let us know, else we would need to give 2500 to procure a Commercial cylinder

First of all I apologize for not catching up with the email chain.

I would not be able to join tomorrows meeting as it falls in my working hours. However, I will meet the Tent Service guy tomorrow morning and book utensils, tent etc. I also have a spare cylinder with me that we can use.  I will handover my contributions to Deep or anyone who is going. The important thing now is to sort out the banner. S.Maneet Singh will check with S.Kalbir Singh ji for the ref of vendor which helped us last time. We also need to arrange for the Ice Blocks for water. I guess we would be serving Roohafza or something and not plain water.I also have the number for the Ice Vendor we contracted last time.  So we need to add the cost of that as well in the sheet. Also we can consider the sharbat with milk like we did on chabeel instead of plain Roohafza.

The tent has been finalized today for 12th Jan'14 for Rs. 3000 (including chairs, utensils etc). Rs.1000 advance has been paid by Barjinder veerji. Also as per Barjinder veerji's suggestion, PFA the updated excel sheet including approx. cost serving Roohafza.

Kindly check the same. Please make changes for Roohafza calculation if required. Also, the banner + Ice cost is not included.

As discussed in yesterday evening meeting, responsibilities are as follows:-

 

1) Tent arrangement- Barjinder (AI:- Pls. add 2 tea container + 1 gas stove)

2) Buy ingredients for Chole & deliver the same to Punjabi Rasoi (PR) by Saturday afternoon– Maneet/Mandeep (AI:- Need to check couple of vendors for good price & buy)

3) One Gas Cylinder + two 50 litres Patilas  need to deliver to PR by Saturday afternoon – Barjinder/Maneet

4) Buy Disposable plates + glasses + Bread + water – Ranjit veerji

5) Prepare Banner PPT & order – Jassi

6) Buy Tea + milk + choti elachi + 2 meters cloth - ??

7) Buy big bin bags + cleaning power + scrubber + brooms – Jassi
