Responsibilities:
- Own the customer experience: Partner with engineering teams in order to create efficient test plans covering relevant use-cases
- Translate functional specifications into test specifications
- Advocate for customer experience during testing & design review
- Ability to estimate & deliver test results consistently & accurately
- Partner with automation team when designing/planning test plans
- Plan & communicate clearly & execute to plan
Required Skills:
- BS or MS in Computer Science with 4 years minimum experience in Quality Assurance role
· Proficient in an object oriented programming language like Java or Python
· Strong debugging skills
- 4+ years experience in testing one or more of the following areas: Cloud Storage, ESXi and/or Linux Platform Software, High Availability, File Systems
Experience with backup / DR solutions such as Zerto, Veeam, SRM, etc.
Strong QA mentality with problem-solving skills
· Proficient with SCM tools such as Git
· Create tests for features at a rapid pace without compromising product quality
· Troubleshoot & debug issues in order to provide clear defect description
· Communicate and collaborate across all functional teams
· Self-motivated, results-oriented, and most importantly a team player
Preferred skills:
- 4+ years of experience in deploying, configuring and troubleshooting storage and/or networking systems
- 4+ years of experience in any one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, C or C++
- Knowledge of Virtualization and Container technologies including VMWare, KVM, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Administrative experience with Amazon Web Services
- Familiarity with IO test tools such as VDBench, FIO, HCIBench
- Ability to work independently
- Strong teamwork mentality and ability to work cross functionally
