summer cook out/movie night

Hi Everyone:

Let's get a cookout on the calendar before it's time for Halloween. j/k

Not to point fingers (Chris and Kate Ganski), but I was wondering if you would host the dinner portion of the cookout and after we eat we could all come over to our house for a movie in the backyard.  I am still working on the logistics...but could be fun.  popcorn in the backyard and ping pong in the alley?

let's throw some dates around. 

We are available during the week or weekends either works for us!!!

just and FYI I saw this on Facebook – Bayview neighborhood crime watch:

My house was burgled sometime between 5am and 9pm last Wednesday. Manitoba and Logan area, across from Humboldt Park. Cut my screen and push the ac vent inside. I was out of town and my house sitter didn't notice. Deceased mom's jewelry, a clock radio (really?!), an iPod and portable speaker system, and a semi-broken Dell netbook stolen. May find more once I've had a chance to really go through stuff. They were subtle. Didn't take any large electronics or wreck anything.

I was going to circulate a flyer that we could all post in our windows or doors that stated:

"MEMBER OF BLOCK WATCH, if I don't see you my neighbor will :)"

or does anyone have anything better along those lines?  would you post a flyer in your window?

Add me to the list..  Ironically that I posted it our garage was broken into last night.  Only took my bike.  And messed up our door quite a bit

Okay, so we are on for this Thursday. Sorry Chad and Caitlin, but I'm sure Italy will be way more fun!

We'll have the grill on if folks want to bring meat/veggies to grill. If you can come please bring a classic grill-out dish to share. We'll also have the cooler filled with ice. I think we have plenty of paper plates, but if you can bring plastic utensils and/or napkins please do.

Feel free to respond this email to let us know what you plan to bring. Hope to see many of you Thursday night- 6:30pm or whenever you can make it.
