Relocating to UK

Hi All,

I am currently in India & have received HSMP approval last month. I am
planning to be there in UK around Jan start if not able to get a job
till then.
Can any one tell me how to search for a job in UK from India. I have
subscribed on 2-3 job sites , but it seems they do not opt to conduct
telecon on ISD numbers.

I don’t know any one there in UK hence wanted to land there with a job
in hand. Can any one suggest how I shall proceed further.

Hi Jisha,

HSMP process changed in the month of Mar-Apr this year & unofrtunately
my application was filed during the same time. hence it took 16 weeks
to get the approval. normally it takes 8 to 12 weeks on average.

My husband got HSMP visa(on points basis) and has gone to UK last month.I am planning to apply for dependent visa in 2 weeks.could somebody guide me with the correct documentation required for the same?

I am also sailing the same boat. I hold an HSMP approval and am
planning to land around the same time.
I enquired with couple of my friends, according to them it is very
difficult to get job from India itself.

Yes, it is not so easy to get job from India itself. But, there is no
harm in trying.
99% of the companies may not entertain overseas candidates. But there
are still 1% left.

Are we taking about difficulty getting jobs in any particular
profession or in general ?
How is the current job market for IT in the UK considering the
current turmoil in financial market.
