under Action when Normal Shut Down is selected should the program
remember this setting for future sessions (after restart/shutdown)? ie
so that when right click on icon and Start Predefined Shutdown now! is
selected it will do a Normal Shut Down?

Yes, it should remember the shutdown type, selected in Action.

It's not remembering the setting. I have tried reinstalling Force
Down. Any ideas what the problem might be? (running XP Professional
Service Pack 3)
