We believe that everyone should have access to study rooms, but we also realize over crowding could be a problem in the newer dorms. We think that the study rooms are great so the university should continue to increase the number of study rooms any where they can.

I'm sure the University would like to add more study rooms to new dorms as part of the renovation, but I think this may not be a timely solution. It will take at least a few years for many dorms to have proper quiet study rooms, if that (like Markley). Instead, I believe everyone living in the Hill Neighborhood should at least have access to all study rooms in the Hill Neighborhood.

While I understand that this may be an inconvenience for residents of dorms with study rooms (over crowding), I see it as a solution that will benefit the maximum number of people. Though their own hall's study rooms might be more populated, they will now be free to use study rooms of all other halls in the Hill Neighborhood. I definitely think we need to broaden M-Card access for many aspects of housing.
