South Quad Smells

I've noticed this for quite some time now, starting this year, but the elevator lobby area of the 7th floor of South Quad, the elevators themselves and the main lobby near the elevators smells really bad, almost like a sewer. I think this is only on the West side of South Quad. Sometimes it is better, but in general it's pretty disgusting. I'm wondering if maybe there are some issues with plumbing that might run near the elevators, or something else. Just wanted to bring this to the attention of the right people in case Housing isn't already aware of this.

Hello. We have been having problems with SQ plumbing for the last two years. Pipes are repaired as leaks occur - but there's no question that the overall condition of the plumbing is deteriorating. In the renovation, we will be replacing all of the plumbing that services community bathrooms, and the problem will be resolved.
