in light of sexual assault

In light of the recent sexual assault that occurred in West Quad, I'd like to bring up a pretty big problem: the quality of security cameras in/around the dorms. We have the suspect on video (which has been publicly released), yet the images are so grainy and blurry and terrible that he has yet to be identified (according to the general publics knowledge)!? That to me is something that should take high priority due to the safety of our students.

I agree completely. With Housing Security's move to the larger DPSS, there may be an opportunity to leverage the camera system that DPS has been using for some time. We're just starting to talk about this so the idea is very formative at this point.
