Background
Some research shows that trayless dining reduces food waste. And reducing food waste is good for the environment. Several of our small dining halls are trayless now, and East Quad will be trayless when it reopens in the fall. We are exploring the possibility of expanding trayless dining to all dining halls.
How You Can Help
Before we make the leap to trayless dining, we want to talk to students who care about this issue -- pro or con. We'd like to introduce you to some of our dining managers who will share some of the challenges, listen to your concerns about the impact on your dining experience, and hear from you how we might work together to encourage student support for trayless dining.
