Dear reco-trigger enthusiasts

The HSF software trigger/event reconstruction working group plans a series of discussions in the area of:

Algorithmic approaches and data structures to efficiently exploit accelerators and many-core architectures.

Our intent is to facilitate ongoing efforts sharing results and ideas towards evolving current event models, toolkits and algorithm implementations, and best programming techniques to improve the throughput of multithreaded software trigger and event reconstruction applications.

A first meeting is planned for June 5:

https://indico.cern.ch/event/823263

where we will discuss approaches taken towards the effective use of vectorized and multi-core CPUs.

We would like to hear from other collaborations as well. If you'd like to contribute to this meeting, or to a future one, with a presentation or a suggestion for talks, please contact one of us.

Cheers-
Agnieszka, Caterina and David
