HSF Reconstruction & Software triggers Meeting on the European Strategy for Particle Physics Update

Dear all,

As a part of the process to update the European Strategy for Particle Physics, the HEP Software Foundation (HSF) is planning to submit a document covering the computing-intensive areas such as Event Generation, Detector Simulation, Reconstruction and Software Triggers, and Data Analysis, as well as the crucial topic of Training & Careers.

In order to collect input from the community pertaining to the Reconstruction and Software Triggers, we are organizing a mini workshop on Wednesday, November 27th at 2 pm CERN time. During the meeting we plan to discuss key developments since the last strategy update, the main challenges we face in the next decade, and the roadmap to address those.

We will start the mini workshop with invited speakers who will introduce the main themes.

We then plan to have some time for flash presentations from the community, so if you want to present, please contact us with your favourite subject.

We will finish with an open discussion round, where everyone is encouraged to give feedback and input for the future of our reconstruction and trigger software.
