HEPiX Spring 2025 Workshop in Lugano: Important Deadlines

Dear HEPiX Community,

As we approach the HEPiX Spring 2025 Workshop, we are excited to remind you that it will take place in Lugano, Switzerland, from March 31 to April 4, 2025. The event will be hosted by CSCS, the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre, and held at the Hotel De La Paix Lugano.

Please take note of the following important deadlines:

• Early-bird registration has been extended until February 28, 2025.
• Regular registration and abstract submissions will close on March 16, 2025, at 23:59 (CET)

We are looking forward to a productive and informative meeting, and we encourage previous and new participants to submit abstracts and contribute to the programme. Next to the usual tracks, there will be a common topical HEPiX session and WLCG Open Technical Forum to discuss mid- and longer term evolution of sites - what will sites and site services look like in five or ten years' time?

There will also be an interactive session "Show us your toolbox", where participants can give short demos of their favoured tools (please help us organise this session by submitting an abstract).

Registration, abstract submission and information about the logistics are available under https://indico.cern.ch/e/hepix-spring-2025-lugano. Participants registering before 28 February 2025 will profit from the early-bird rate of 350 CHF.

HEPiX workshops have been held regularly since 1991 to bring together worldwide Information Technology staff, physicists and managers from High Energy Physics, Nuclear Physics and other science laboratories, institutes and universities such as BNL, CERN, DESY, FNAL, IN2P3, INFN, JLAB, KEK, NIKHEF, PIC, RAL, SLAC, TRIUMF and many other labs and universities. The main purpose of the HEPiX semi-annual workshops is to foster a learning and sharing experience for physicists and IT specialists in scientific high-performance and data-intensive computing disciplines.
