Dear all,

(Apologies if you receive this message twice)

The HSF/IRIS-HEP Training Group is excited to announce the Machine
Learning Training - Intermediate event, taking place on Aug 3-4, 2026.

Machine Learning Training - Intermediate (virtual, Aug 3-4, US Eastern
Time): In this training event, you will learn how to prepare
scientific datasets for machine learning, train and evaluate models,
and apply commonly used machine-learning techniques to high-energy
physics problems. The workshop will include practical exercises using
tools such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and PyTorch, and will cover
topics including classification, regression, model evaluation, neural
networks, overfitting, and regularization.

The event is free and will be held online via Zoom. For information on
registration, setup, and the timetable, please visit:
https://indico.cern.ch/event/1706524/

Additionally, we will also have office hours for ‘Help with Setup’ on
July 30 (10:50 - 11:50 US Eastern time).

We look forward to seeing you at the event and exploring
machine-learning applications together!
If you are unable to attend our events or would like to learn on your
own, you can find all of our training modules in our Training Center
at https://hsf-training.org/training-center/

We are also always looking for new instructors and mentors to help us
run these events. If you would like to gain more teaching experience
