Dear Colleagues

Happy New Year to all!

I wanted to bring your attention to the International Conference on Computational Science from 29 June to 1 July that will be hosted at DESY in Hamburg, Germany. This is a major conference bringing together the computing and application area scientists who are pushing the boundaries of computational science and shaping future research directions.

As part of this event we are organising a topical workshop on Computational Methods for Petascale Research, focusing on experiments and communities that acquire and manage petabytes of data and/or require petaflops of computing power to simulate or to analyse their outputs. We aim to cover topics in data management, data streaming, efficient algorithms, machine learning and digital twins at these extreme scales.

We invite paper submissions until 20 February for the workshop which highlight progress in any of these, or related, areas. These can be a short or long papers (6-15 pages), which, if accepted, would be published in Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). An extended abstract (1-2 pages, but without publication) can also be submitted. Please see the workshop website for further details on submissions.

The programme committee are happy to discuss further details of any proposed submission.

Best wishes

Graeme, for the CompPet Workshop programme committee (comppet-...@desy.de)
