Dear colleagues,
This is a gentle reminder about the Analysis Reproducibility Training event, from Monday, March 24 through Friday, March 28, 2025.
In this training event, you can learn about containerization with Podman, Docker, and Apptainer (Singularity), as well as continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) techniques in GitHub and GitLab. In addition, we will have a special session on Thursday about REANA. These techniques allow you to build a robust and reproducible analysis pipeline that transforms analysis objects into final results. Reproducible analysis code is part of a clean scientific workbench, an essential part of the scientific method, and it also allows your analysis to be preserved for future studies beyond the publication. (This training event is part of a series that used to be called Analysis Preservation.)
The event is free, virtual/online (Zoom), and mostly asynchronous: you can work at your own pace. See
https://indico.cern.ch/event/1508102/
for information on registration, setup, and the timetable. After a short kickoff meeting, you can learn at any time through pre-recorded videos and training material, and mentors are available to help you on Slack. On the last day, small-group mentoring sessions are organized across many timezones, so you can benefit from this event anywhere in the world.
The deadline for registration is Friday, March 21, 2025.
Looking forward to seeing you during the event, working together for reproducible analyses!
Best regards,
