Dear HEP software community,

[Save the date] We are hosting a kick-off discussion on "Responsible and effective AI-assisted coding, and common training aspects" on Wednesday 29th July 15h30 - 17h30 CEST:

https://indico.cern.ch/event/1705480/

The aim of the meeting is to share experiences and practices with the HEP community around responsible and effective AI-assisted coding. Following this first exchange, we’ll then collectively work towards developing common loose guidelines that could serve as a useful starting point in HEP/Nuclear Physics experiments or similar communities in future.*
A second part of the discussions will be hosted by the HSF Training group, and will cover community training needs, existing material, and how HSF Training can facilitate common training aspects.

We encourage people to circulate the event within their communities, so that we collect the perspectives from a broad range of experiments and institutes.
As we aim to have a semi-structured discussion, the agenda is split into several topics (discussion points) to which we invite community representatives and individuals to contribute short slides in advance.
Specific details on expectations for the meeting are provided on the agenda/live doc (linked to agenda).

The live doc is accessible for comments and suggestions. Thanks a lot and hope to see you there.

Best wishes,
HSF
