Dear all,
With reference the GASCO-Contractor HSE Seminar held on 21st November 2012, Contractor Management Meeting held at Bu Hasa on 12th March 2013 and Site Contractor HSE Supervisor Meeting held on 18th March 2013, we would like to draw your attention on the following issues:
1. As summer is approaching, means of transport provided to the workers to commute between the camp and site shall have air condition and it shall be maintained to ensure that it is effective. This is in addition to the requirements already communicated earlier pertaining to transportation, like sufficient number of vehicles, proper seating arrangement for the passengers, well maintained vehicle, certified & authorised driver etc.
2. In order to ensure food safety for workers, a designated eating area (shaded area with proper sitting arrangements) with the availability of clean and cold drinking water, hand washing facilities, food waste collection arrangements shall be provided.
3. Workers shall be served with hot food and it shall be appropriate containers.
GASCO – Bu Hasa HSE Department will be carrying out random spot inspections to ensure that the contractors’ are compliance with the above mentioned requirements.
