Hello HSCO – as most of you know, OCPP was hatched from the work done by HSCO, with Chuck taking the major initiative.  Ellen Lowe, Jerry Bieberle, Rich Peppers and I were original board members.  My reason for this history lesson is twofold.  I believe that if you are a human services advocate, you have the opportunity to act on your values by joining HSCO as an individual member (and hopefully your organization can join as well – see our website for information and a form www.oregonhsco.org ) and to give what you can to OCPP.  We need both organizations,  and your support is very much appreciated.

Happy Feast of Fools (today) and Happy New Year!

John

Dear John,

Are you a generous procrastinator?

The two most popular days to make online contributions are December 30 and 31, according to Network for Good, the Internet's largest nonprofit giving portal and the secure gateway for online contributions to OCPP. Apparently, generous procrastinators like to get their gifts in at the last minute for tax purposes.

If you are a generous procrastinator who also believes that facts matter in winning public policies that make Oregon better for all Oregonians, you can still
make a secure, online tax-deductible contribution to OCPP in 2009.

It's easy! Click here to make your tax-deductible contribution to OCPP now.

All of us at OCPP wish you a happy and healthy New Year.

Sincerely,
Donte Now
Chuck

Chuck Sheketoff
Executive Director

P.S. If you have recently contributed to OCPP, your gift and this e-mail likely crossed in cyberspace or the mail. We thank you for your generosity.
