Do you really know what Oregon’s Section 8 reform law covers and how to implement it?
For answers, join housing experts online for a Section 8 Reform webcast at 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15.
Oregon passed Section 8 reform (HB 2639) in 2013. The bill created significant detailed changes to the Section 8 voucher program and access to government housing subsidies.
For a better understanding of the reform, MMT’s Affordable Housing Initiative program officers will host a webcast with landlord and tenant advocates. Join in to hear how they interpret the law, get details on what the law covers and ask questions about impacts on the law on your local communities. Housing and social service providers will learn helpful on-the-ground info to assist low-income tenants using Section 8 vouchers or other government-assisted subsidies.
During this webcast you will:
- Discover what the reform entails and how to implement it
- Learn which vouchers are covered under this law and what the law does not define
- Hear landlord and tenant advocates’ take on the law
- Have a chance to ask questions about the impacts of the law in your local communities
- Get resources to connect people to additional information or support
