Hi Class,
I am sorry. I gave you the wrong chart to make.
Please continue to read the Columbus readings as we will still debate
the topic of Columbus as Imperialist.
However, here is where I made a mistake. I asked you to complete a
chart comparing the English, Spanish, French and Dutch BUT you can't
do that yet.
What I meant to ask you to do was the following:
As you read "Chapter 2: The Planting of English America" create a
chart (or write separate MEAL paragraphs) comparing the settlement of
the Chesapeake (including Jamestown, Virginia and the Carolinas) with
the settlement of Plymouth (including all of New England).
You will only complete the section dealing with the Chesapeake as we
will not read about New England until Tuesday night.
