Tournament Description

The California Lacrosse Classic is one of Southern California’s finest Summer Tournaments.  We are bringing a Middle School team (7^th and 8^th graders) to participate in the U15 Division, and combining our Select HS team with many 9^th graders playing on the U15 teams to compete in the lower HS Division. 

The format of the Tournament this year is a championship tournament.  Saturday and Sunday morning are 4 qualifier games designed to determine seeding for the Bracket Play which begins Sunday  afternoon and continues until a Champion in each Age Group is determined. 

Each of our NorCal teams should play from 5-7 games depending on how far we go in the Tournament.

Lodging and Meals:  The majority of players and families have arranged their own housing.  Coaches and many families are staying at the Holiday Inn Spectrum in Lake Forest which is designated the Team Hotel.   

 

We will provide a lunch for players on Saturday and Sunday.  We will also sponsor a Team Dinner on Saturday night at a location TBD and announced. We will provide refreshments at the field for the teams with bottles of water, gatorade, fruit, and snacks (pretzels, goldfish, etc).  If your player has any specific dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance. 

 

Matt Skiba is driving a team van down on Friday afternoon and returning on Sunday evening.  There are still a few places left in the van for those who may need a ride. There are also a few shared hotel rooms for unaccompanied players – contact Matt for more details.

Parking:

There's a $7.00 parking fee per day. Everyone is required to pay parking - Program Directors, Coaches, Players, Parents, etc... Parking is managed by the facility and not by the California Lacrosse Classic Tournament. Please pass this information along to your coaches, players and parents.

 

Parent Activity – Parents are encouraged to attend all games, and many of the social events.  Saturday night’s dinner is open to all parents (parents need to pay for their own meal).  Parents are encouraged to also plan their own group activities.  You are free to come and go as you wish.  Please join us Saturday night in the Team hotel for some adult beverages and good conversation.  We’ll have adult beverages for your enjoyment.  We will host a Parent Hospitality Tent on the field.
