Subject: Commitment of support to The Isle de Jean Charles
Tribe’s whole community resettlement
Halito!,
We
recently circulated a press
release about our Isle de Jean Charles Tribe’s current situation
regarding our resettlement process. For more information about our Tribe,
our resettlement, and our efforts towards cultural and physical survival,
please visit our website at www.isledejeancharles.com.
More
than 130 individuals/organizations have already graciously signed on to our
demand to the State of Louisiana to uphold our Tribe’s vision in the agreed
upon and funded proposal to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development’s (HUD) National Disaster Resilience Competition.
We
write to you now to ask specifically for your commitment of support in working
towards our Tribe’s vision for cultural survival and resilience, and to maintain
our sovereignty and Tribal rights.
To commit your support to our Tribe, and collaboratively work towards
our resettlement as a whole Tribal community through a Tribal-driven process,
please see the attached Letter of
Commitment, and add your name/organization by clicking here.
Thank
you for your support!
Sincerely,
Traditional Chief Albert P. Naquin
