The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace
(Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 was enacted to:
✔️ Protect women from sexual harassment at the workplace
✔️ Prevent and prohibit incidents of sexual harassment
✔️ Provide an effective redressal mechanism
✔️ Ensure a safe, dignified, and respectful working environment
The Act clearly recognizes sexual harassment as a violation of a woman’s fundamental rights to equality, dignity, and safety guaranteed under the Constitution of India.
