Dear All,
⚖️ POSH Act Clarification: Eligibility of External IC Member

Can a lawyer who is not associated with an NGO be appointed as the External Member of the Internal Committee (IC) under the POSH Act, 2013?

✅ Yes.
The POSH Act permits a lawyer to be appointed as an External Member even without NGO affiliation, provided they possess relevant experience in social work, women’s rights, or legal knowledge relating to sexual harassment, as prescribed under the Act.
