Dear HRM Users,
With Regards to the new update of the Grads4Web Package, I would like to thank Luc for his contribution. On this new package version I have added also scripts to plot the precipitation field (precp_24.sh,precp_06.sh) for 24h and 6h precipitation respectively.
There is a major change on the philosophy on how the package reads the HRM outputs.
The previous version reads the hrm output file by file (ex hfwf00010000 then hfwf00030000 ... etc). This allows you to plot the ready forecast without waiting for hrm to finish all forecasts. On the other hand it was not possible to plot accumulated field such as precipitation.
The new version expects the HRM output to be in one single big file. So if you decide to use this version then you have to wait until your full hrm forecast is ready.
To make one single big file from hrm forecast, I'm attaching a small script "user_model_grads" which can be used within the scheduler to generate the required files. this script will generate two files model${DATE}${TIME}.grads and modelp${DATE}${TIME}.grads for both model level and pressure level respectively. this script can be called by:
./user_model_grads -d 20090828 -t 00 -e 78 -i 1 -s 0 -y _28
