Job Details overview

Position Summary:
• The Engineer will develop new device and peripheral support for the
Microchip Visual Device Initializer (available free from our website).
The Engineer will also maintain & repair the existing body of code in
a team of two, total.
Essential Function:
• Develop Borland Builder Code to enhance the VDI.
• Maintain and repair existing VDI Code in Borland Builder.
• Manage outside contractors to develop new device and peripheral
support, as needed.
• Work closely in a team environment with colleagues including
development, applications and test.
• Provide status regularly.
Requirements:
• Expert knowledge of C++. Working knowledge of COM / ATL / MFC
windows programming. Systems Thinker.
• Successful candidate will be very familiar with modern integrated
development environments.
• Successful candidate will be able to use word processing,
spreadsheet, database and integrated email applications to accomplish
job objectives, with little or no assistance.
• Familiarity with microcontrollers, microcontroller designs and
design concerns, and microcontroller-based products and applications
is a plus.
• Development experience with real-time product design is a plus.
• Familiarity with database design and application is a plus.
