Subject: Camporee Change of Venue for this weekend

Hi Everyone -

I'm sure everyone who has seen the email blast from Tim earlier has some questions and maybe even a bit of frustration over the last minute change of location for the camporee this weekend.

Allow me to clarify a bit. Although planning for the Camporee was started very late in the cycle for a variety of reasons, a lot of work has been put into the Camporee to make it a great weekend for the boys. The staff has worked extremely hard over a very short period of time to pull this event off. And they've done a stellar job.

Unfortunately a couple of issues beyond our control have been recognized and have made the site in Tennessee City very unappealing for the Boy Scouts and even bordering on the side of unsafe for the Cub Scouts.

For that reason, a new location was quickly chosen as a replacement. We all know Boxwell. We know how to get there. We know its facilities. And we know it's fun.

Most Scouts have not been to Camp Duckhead so this will be a good adventure for them.

I know and understand how last minute changes affect your planning. But I would ask that you remember that this is indeed for the boys. They'll have a good time, despite the last minute kinks in our schedule and planning. They don't care. They just want to get out in the field with a bunch of other Scouts and have a good weekend.

I'll be there all weekend, starting later this afternoon. I'd be happy to discuss this or anything else with you. Please feel free to give me a call as well - 615-405-4064.

Thanks and let's have some fun camping!

Joe
