The US Corps of Engineers contacted me today and have planned a service
project day that will provide service hours AND A FREE MEAL, to any units in
the District who may desire to attend.

The location is Lock A, Cheatham Dam, Ashland City

Service time 8-11am on 9-24-11

The Corps will provide all clean-up bags, equipment, etc, and this is a
great opportunity for scouts to obtain the service hours they may need for
rank, and to also benefit the community and our environment. They are
considering establishing new trails for hiking, etc, that would also benefit
scouting.
