Hi all,

Though many of us and/or many of our entities have started working towards voicing concern about ongoing violence against minorities in Bangladesh, it may well worth exploring decisive action regarding the said. At one point, HRCBM tried and intended to pursue certain legal measure; I believe until we collectively develop a consensus towards such measure, violence against country’s minorities will not subside.

There can be several proposals towards such measure which in aggregates may contribute to end result we seek of ending violence permanently as well procuring justice and compensation for victims of crime.

I therefore request you to please submit your proposals towards such activities both at Bangladesh and abroad. Some examples can be: 1) delivering statement drawing HR sessions at UN, 2) followed by exploring ICC tribunal or invoking certain policy instrument at EU/USA or other country’s.
Similarly, we may seek to file class action lawsuits in Bangladesh against Islamist entities e.g. Jamat.

What I suggested here is just a path to explore and it by no means conclusive, however, if we develop a collective notion, we may find better alternative. Hence, please suggest. Hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks

Dhiman
