Sourcing Guidelines (for Sourcing partner reference only)

•            Type of Sales - The candidate will be responsible for growing existing business with partners and for bringing in new direct clients.
•            Candidate must be Engineering +MBA/PGDM form Tier! University
•            Japanese Language Certification-for is out sider mandatory.

•            Geography - The candidate will be primarily responsible for the Japan market.

•            Industries – The candidate should have performed sales in any of the following industries – B2B, eCommerce, 3PL, WMS, Retail, Automation, Fashion.

•            Team Size Handled – There will be 2 team members reporting to this role.

•            Reporting Structure – The candidate will report to the Country Manager

•            Travel – Around 25% mainly domestic travel.

•            Japanese Language – Should be able to Speak, Read & Write Japanese

•            Nationality / VISA status - Japanese nationals OR candidates with a PR is required for this role. (client will not provide Visa support). 




Job Description

The ideal candidate will be a strong and passionate sales individual with a deep understanding of the warehouse and automation space. 

In addition, this individual will be comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up/scale up environment. 

This role will be responsible for serving as a partner to our customers as well as leading the sales team in Japan. 

A consultative selling approach is required and the ability to lead a customer through complex and long sales cycles. This person will be a self-starter and a mentor to their staff.

Key responsibilities:

          Execution of sales with top tier clients

          Management of a sales team

          Partners with stakeholders to establish the strategy and direction of the company’s products and services

          Builds and maintains relationships with new and existing customers

          Involvement in defining processes, services and tools that help increase our ability to sell

          Partners with internal product experts to understand our products and how they can deliver innovative solutions to our customers

          Identifies opportunities that can serve as case studies and leverage them in order to share insights

          Be part of ensuring the sales team is well-versed in our existing product offerings and well-prepared to ensure new product releases are successful

          Partners with the marketing team to develop sales campaigns and lead generation activities

          Serves as an escalation point to resolve complex and critical customer needs

 

  

Minimum Qualifications:

          Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field from Tier1 University Only

          15 or more years of experience in business to business sales, preferably in technology, software or automation industries

          Experience working with clients within the distribution/fulfillment centre and or WMS industry

          Experience with establishing sales strategies and processes

          Experience influencing senior leaders (internal and external)

          Experience facilitating and giving presentations

          Fluent Japanese language as well as business level English

 

Other Qualifications:

          Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment & multi-task

          Ability to analyse sales data and develop plans to achieve results

          Ability to solve complex problems
