Sourcing Guidelines 
- C&B experience - Minimum 3years of expertise in Compensation & Benefits 
- Firm Size - Should have worked in large sized firms (min 800 to 1000+ people). Candidates experience in formulating C&B policies & laws would be far more qualitative.
- Age Limit – late thirties to early forties preferred (35 to 43yrs) 
- Industry – BFSI domain is highly preferred but not Mandatory. 
o Candidate Nationality – Should be a native Japanese & residing in Japan currently
o Reporting Structure – This is an Individual Contributor role and will report to the Director HR. 
o Language Proficiency – Should be fluent in Japanese. Beginner level in English is sufficient.


Job Description
As a C&B Manager you will develop and implement HR policy and compensation programs which contribute to raise competitiveness in the market and motivate/reward employees. Support division managers and HRBP to build effective HR policy/compensation scheme.

 

This position requires a well-seasoned professional who:

o            Understands the organization’s needs and business situation/strategies

o            Has enough expertise/technical knowledge about compensation jobs, and realize best programs

o            Can supervise payroll operation and take actions to improve payroll operational excellence.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

(1) Develop and introduce HR policy and compensation policy, including:

o            New HR rules related to regulation change and new initiatives

o            Compensation policy such as salary matrix, variable bonus

o            Performance management

o            Maintenance/update for exiting HR rules

o            To make clear plans to achieve the development of HR policy / compensation policy, hearing the needs of key stakeholders (MC members) and business situation. And make sure execution of the plan.

o            Get buy-in and alignment with key stakeholders (MC members) to achieve the development of HR related policy

o            Analyze our current HR policy and compensation scheme, and will make an action plan to develop and implement

o            Monitor regulation change and market trend, and will propose effective action plans and take necessary actions

 

(2) Supervise payroll operations

o            Supervise monthly payroll calculation

o            Improve payroll operation excellence

 

(3) Budget Planning and management

o            Plan and monitor the budget for expense and personnel cost

 

Essential Skills:

o            At least 3-5 years of experience in Compensation and Benefit (C&B) field (especially expertise in Compensation field)

o            Basic knowledge about Japanese regulation and labor law

o            Good knowledge in statistics and analysis

o            Good skillset for excel

o            Bachelors degree

o            Japanese Native level

o            Fluent level in English would be a plus (beginner level is sufficient)

 

Soft skills:

o            Business acumen

o            Good negotiation and interpersonal skill
