If you cancel your subscription before its term end date, the subscription skips the Expired stage and moves directly into the Disabled stage, which is 90 days for most subscriptions, in most countries and regions. We recommend that you back up your data before canceling. As an admin, you can still access and back up data for your organization while it is in the Disabled stage. Any customer data that you leave behind might be deleted after 90 days and will be deleted no later than 180 days after cancellation.

After you've renewed, in the future, you will be set up for recurring billing and your payment method will be charged on the date noted, unless you cancel your subscription or turn off recurring billing before that date. After applying the code to my Microsoft Account I can see it has taken effect for the 12-month period (expires in January 2024), however it has not "stacked" on top of my previous Xbox game pass subscription and now effectively expires before my previously accrued subscription time (August 2024).


My GamePass app shows that my Ultimate subscription currently expires on 12/08/2024 (confirmed this with Xbox support via Twitter as well) which was the expiry date before I applied the BT code. So given that the 12 months subscription time from BT runs from January 2023 to January 2024 (and now overlaps with my existing pre-purchased subscription time), should the subscription expiry date not be in 2025 if the code has stacked correctly?


Skype subscriptions are purchases that will automatically renew until you cancel them. Subscriptions must be cancelled at least three days before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next billing cycle. Unlike subscriptions, Skype Credit only continues to charge you if you have auto-recharge enabled on your account.






I've been going through this all day, and here's what I've learned; If you can't log in using the original email that you set the account up with many, many years ago, you can answer a list of questions. Date of birth, billing address, last four of credit card on account, and two ea titles you've bought (using the locked xbox account) with their dates of purchase. I wasn't able to pass the test after several tries, probably because I used a bogus birthday just to rush through the set up.


To cancel a subscription, turn auto-renew off in your account. Your current subscription will be active until the expiration date. You can turn on auto-renew before the end date to continue your subscription.
