“Marketing and innovation produce results; all the rest are costs. Marketing is the distinguishing, unique function of the business."
– Peter Drucker
I’m dedicating this blog article to the Innovation Icon, the man who has changed the world, the marketing boss who left many of us inspired with his life story, the only one who has completely capitalized his lifetime facing all the struggles from his childhood. “The Brand Steve Jobs”

Steve is the person who understood the need of innovation in business environment and a person who has treated his business practice as the full-fledged entrepreneurial passion. Innovation is important for all kind of business but at what level the innovation been realised and executed plays a vital role. To my knowledge, out of the understandings that I have earned about Steve and Apple, innovation played a very vital role at all the levels of business at Apple. Be it the product or the price or the promotion or the technology it’s all unique and re-invented in the name of innovation. We cannot find Apple slashing the prices when a new model is getting released in the market, each product or the model has got the market and price alone will not bring in the customers is what Apple believes.
We can see the love, passion, involvement and care been taken behind each product of Apple and the world is witnessing only Steve at the backdrop for the success of all Apple products.
We all know Steve Jobs is not a born winner; he miserably failed many times in his life, as an infant got adopted from his biological parents later dropped out from his college and then thrown out from the company that he has started at his age of 20 years. Steve has never regretted for all these failures, in-fact he turned out all these incidents as a positive twist in his life that kept him going with new successful ventures lined-up one after the other.
One more quality that Steve Jobs has which we cannot find among us or with most of successful people is, he takes decision out of gut feel/intuition and not just simply relying of data or the market research report about the feasibility of the products that Apple plans to launch. Living the fullest life and not fearing on the failures which turn to be the actual hurdle for success is what he had believed and practiced.
Steve is not a techie, but he knows what to sell and how to sell it, this is where he has fuelled the innovation which others found it difficult to do. The success of Apple is a case study for many of the entrepreneurs mushrooming around the world but not Apple as an organization but Steve Jobs as a brand.
We never met him, but his innovation kept us close with him and appreciated him for the same, at the time when we heard about his dismissal, we started sharing our condolence. Yes, we missed someone who stayed close to us in the form of Iphones, Ipads and Ipods the greatest products ever innovated in this century. The power of Innovations in marketing is bigger than what we actually realize.
Innovate and win hearts. Live even after the state of mortality.
Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish.
