There is a good comparison of three different OS X installers on MacBreaker. Worth checking out if you are wondering which method to use.
A couple of things were omitted from the discussion of MyHack in my opinion, the fact that it works with Snow Leopard as well as Lion and Mountain Lion, plus the excellent USB key installation utility which lets you know exactly what it's doing at any given time.
