Does anyone have experience with anyisightcam.kext or
anyisightcam.kext V2?

It's my understanding that this kext will enable older, non-HD, non-
iSight USB cameras to work with Apple's applications such as Photo
Booth & FaceTime.

I believe the correct procedure is to plugin your USB camera, go to
System Profiler and get the VID# & PID#, then use Calculator in
Programmer mode to convert these hex ID's to decimal ID's, and then
open the Contents>info.plist file of the anyisightcam.kext and insert
your webcam's converted decimal IDs.

Problem is I've done this, and I get no function, and kextstat doesn't
show the kext loading.

I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong?

Oops, I see my problem. You need a USB 2.0 webcam, and perhaps one
that's UVC compliant also. My webcam is too old. Oh well, they're
cheap, I'll get a new one.

For the most part, if the webcam is UVC compliant, "it just works". I've had good luck with HP's webcams.
