See the long thread of emails below. Do not open the doors to unknown people, a couple of who are apparently out on the prowl with some kind of nerve gas affecting our thinking capabilities in 10 seconds or less.

Some more info about this freakish incidents of couple of guys who are evidently targeting apartments in eastern part of Bangalore… See below thread from my office email group… The latest one is from a colleague who in HSR layout. They seem to be using some method to make the resident incapable of reasoning and succumbing to their actions (not verified of course)… 

BTW, the motivation for sending this to MT is only to get all of us in this community aware and not get succumbed to such strangers & their tricks… Afterall, the best security that we can get is from our own alertness. If we can build a reputation among these thugs that this community is smart, alert & will not succumb so easily, maybe they will go elsewhere… 

In any case, I don't have high hopes of us optimizing on the level of security what we have in the apt complex - what with all the different points of view, egos to take care of & lobbies to handle… Finally, I also subscribe for reduced maintenance expense, which is already high! :-)

Just an hour before door bell rang.

Though there is a way to see (through the small whole of the door), I just ignored and opened the door. >>> Obviously My Mistake!!! (Ignorance is a crime!!!)

But before opening the door, This email flashed in my mind (No Doubt About It). Thank God, I read this email yesterday itself (Though I didn't read bang-misc emails from Mon-Thu this week).

The moment I opened the door, I saw two people standing in front of the door. Two photos shared in this email earlier are perfectly matching (Even dress colors also matching for the two persons - SAME SHIRTS & SAME PANTS).

I got more alert. In mean time, One fellow shown gurunanak photo to me (I'm seeing the photo... Exactly at this point of time, Some smell (initially I thought its a perfume) came as if it is coming directly to my nose only!!! ( Not sure, But I believe he is blowing from his mouth - because I noticed his face with mouth open and blowing air without making others to even sense what is he doing --- Professionally trained it seems).

They asked me to donate showing the photo. I would have closed the door. Instead I said, Write the address back on the photo and I come there and I donate there itself. But they are NOT listening to me. Instead they asked me my good name.

All these things took 8 seconds. I lost my senses. Without talking to them any thing at the door, I just came inside and told to my wife that, If some thing happens to me.. Just take care. I was feeling totally unconscious and about to fall. Again I thought they may come inside,  I got MORE scared. I somehow managed to go main door and locked the door (without listening to them any more!!!)..

Not one minute is required to get the effect of that smell. Just 10 seconds is more enough to lose senses!!!

After 10 min... I went and searched in the flat. They are no where. I asked owners, They approached them as well... But they too rejected.

PLEASE DON'T OPEN DOORS WITHOUT NOTICING THE PEOPLE.

Now also while composing this email... I'm feeling that I'm not totally normal. I can't tell what exactly.. But some sort of disturbance in head.

This is an incident which happened in my apartment yesterday. Thought of sharing it here.

Hello All,

    Want to warn you about an incident that happened yesterday afternoon.

    Two people entered the apartment yesterday afternoon around 2:15 PM. The security could not stop them, and they came to first block first floor. In the first two houses they approached, the door was not opened properly by the people and sent off.

    In my apartment the door was open, as there some carpenter's work going on. The moment I went to the door to talk with them, the first thing they said was that they need a donation as they are conducting langar for poor people. But, by the time this first minute was over, I really don't know what else happened as I ended up doing things I generally will not do with unknown people.

   After the first two minutes of I myself received them inside the apartment (which is very unlikely of me) and they started talking about all the problems we are facing and stuff. One talk led to another, and it was as if I was mesmerized. What I remember of the whole incident is that, in the end they wanted to do some chanting with my chain (with mangal-sutra) and I myself obligingly gave it to them. Looks like, they left within a minute after that, but for me to come to my senses as to what has happened, it took about 30 mins, by which time they had left.

    The carpenters who were in the hall doing their work did not get even an inkling of what had happened inside. All in all, I lost my chain, which was about 60 gms in whole (including the mangal sutra). In midst of all these, I am thankful that there were people in the hall, which would have stopped these guys from doing me any bodily harm.

    On checking the CCTV footage, we could get the images of these people entering by around 2:15 and leaving by around 2:45. I have attached the photo snap we took from the footage.

     Just want everyone of you to be careful in future, if any such incident occur.
