Battery was at 50%, installed the update last night, killed all
running tasks that I could, put phone in airplane mode. I wake up
this morning and my phone is dead!!

I know not everybody has experienced this issue, but I know others
have on other forums. Didn't see any threads about this here.
Anybody HERE, have that problem?

Yup mine did it too.
Installed it and several minutes later battery was almost dead.

I dont think its still an issue, it might have been something weird
with multiples running or something. Seems to have been a one time
thing after install.

So regarding the update last night that killed my phone with 50%
battery. I just charged my phone, and it's been unplugged for 2 hours
and 19 minutes............dropped to 80% already and the battery use
screen shows that Home++ is at 77 percent.

It's def draining my battery. This was after I switched back to stock
home made it my default via Home switcher, force stopped Home++, and
did a reset via alt, shift and del.

Sadly I just uninstalled Home++ :'(

I'll just hang out until a new update comes along.

you might have already said it but what model phone are you using? have not had any issues like this on my droid wondering if it might be one model of phone that this issue happens on

seems like the exact same set up i have
and you said you killed everything else when before doing the first test?

I running three screen with looping and the static background aka wallpaper scrolling is off

did you have show seconds on? just i thought that could be something that might cause a issue like this just because from what it sounds like with our setups that it must be a setting in HPP it self triggering this

I had it with looping screens, I had the scrolling wallpaper on.
Persistent mode was off.

Show seconds was not on, I was using the time though, no date.

It's really frustrating that I'm having this problem. Maybe I'll re-
install over this holiday period since I'll be home, then I'll see
what the symptoms are. I can't be having a dead or quickly dying
phone. :(

I'm running the MotoDroid with android v. 2.0.1 as well. Safe mode on,
persistent mode off, 4 looping screens. Not having quite as drastic of
an issue as you guys, but the battery usage DOES say home++ is at 58%,
when it used to be in the teens at its worst. I'd be willing to do a
side-by-side analysis with you as well!

With new update, my phone has now been u plugged 3.5 hours, and home++
has used only 3% battery as opposed to the 50+% that it used
yesterday. By the time it was unplugged this long yesterday, I hadn't
checked usage breakdown, but the battery gauge showed that
considerably more battery had been used.

However, as stated in another thread, the flip clock and date, as well
as the time in the powerstrip are not updating/keeping time correctly.

Still enjoying this app very much! Confident you'll fix these issues
for us! Thanks again!!!

Out of curiosity, how many people that experienced the battery drain
issue, used the flip clock widget for Home++?

I'm kind of thinking that's what the cause was, since not everybody
uses his flip clock.........and not everybody experienced the battery
drain issue.
It also makes sense why this latest update affects the flip clock
widget.......making it freeze. I think the battery drain issue was
fixed in this latest update, but introduced a new bug with the flip
clock widget, which is making it freeze.

As far as I know, there's only one size of flip clock widget, but I've
used it the entire time I've been using home++, and didn't experience
the drain until the update before the one that just came out. I
noticed that my battery bar seemed to start going down faster after
unplugging it, but didn't put the two together until I read the posts.

Fact remains, the flip clock can't be the ONLY source of the problem,
but I agree completely that it's been affected by Tue new update.

Also, home++ battery use remains at 3% after close to 6 hours of not
charging.
