Hi Carl,

You are using the immunosuppressant Imuran? How long you will continue
to use immunosuppressants? any counteraction with the HPI or it makes
no difference?

Asking because how can one know if your well being is the result of
HPI or the regular use of Imuran?

Hi Scandinavian,

I did not start taking Imuran till over a year after the first
treatment, and months after the second at which stage I had already
experienced dramatic improvement from the HPI. True, we'll never know
if taking Imuran after this has contributed to my feeling well.
Unfortunately life is short and I don't have time to try things in
isolation to determine specific results. As far as I'm concerned now,
suffering from UC is a minor inconvenience on odd occasions, while my
skin disease, EBA, is still a major discomfort in my life. I have
another week left now on a minimal dose of Imuran after which I will
be trying another immune suppresent drug for my skin.

I really don't think that just taking Imuran would have led to my
condition now. I think that reseting the internal flora has had a
majority part in making me better.
