Hey y'all,
Heather just posted this to the Pflugerville homeschool group, and I thought you guys may want to know about it, too. See the info below:

I am starting my own Classical Christian Theatre classes for children and adolescents.  I am currently working on finding a space to lease in the North Austin, Pflugerville, and/or Round Rock areas.  However, waiting for this to come to pass will not stop me from beginning classes as I have space for  students in my home.  I live between Pflugerville and Hutto at the end of Rowe Lane.  I am flexible with my time and plan to have evening classes available and Saturdays as well.

I hold a BFA in Acting from DePaul University in Chicago.  DePaul's Competitive Conservatory Undergraduate Acting Program is considered one of the top acting schools in the country.  I received extensive instruction and practical experience in improvisation and character development which would be included in the primary areas of focus in my classes.

The differences between my classes and other drama courses out there are the following:

1.  Jesus Christ made a profound impact on my life my senior year of college.  This literally altered my life's trajectory.  The content of my classes will reflect my Christian worldview.

2.  My training at DePaul University is unique, especially with my foundational training in improvisation, the cornerstone to any acting technique.

3.  Finally, my approach is "Classical" in nature.  This includes a grammar (learning the language and techniques), dialectic or logic stage (putting techniques together in an organized manner) and a rhetoric stage (the art and science of character development through play production).  Educating is this way was a light bulb moment for me with my son when we began attending Classical Conversations for our core curriculum when homeschooling.  The core of my program begins with instruction in improvisational technique rather than jumping into play production.  Play production is in the rhetoric stage and without a foundation, acting skills do not generally improve.

If you are interested in learning more details about the Scope and Sequence of my curriculum for this class and/or are interested in pricing, times, availability, please let me know.

ANYONE that SHARES this email with another person or group will receive $10 off the first month of classes.  ANYONE that receives this information because someone shared with them will ALSO receive $10 off the first month of classes.

THANK YOU for your time and passing this information along to anyone who may be interested!
