Astronomy Rocket Project

Good morning,
We're using Apologia's Astronomy book and attempted the rocket project that uses a film canister. Unfortunately we don't seem to have the proper type of film canister to make it work. What we have is the typical black canister with a gray lid that snaps on. Has anyone successfully launched one of these? If so what type of canister did you use and where might we find one? Thanks so much. Bryan is sorely disappointed that the rocket did not launch.

I think it has to be the white kind.  Or it's kind of a translucent white.  It worked great when we did it.  We ordered them  because it was done as a group activity, but maybe you can find them at a teacher supply store?  It may even be worth a call to Walgreens, but I really think they are only used for science experiments.  Ours are long lost otherwise I would bring them to you to use!  Over here on this side of town we have Mardel or Teacher Heaven or even Lakeshore Learning.  Maybe one of them has them?
